Module #1 - Introduction to Chromebooks and Expectations

Objective: This session is all about what a Chromebook is and how it works. This session will also cover what the expectations are for using the device in the classroom.

Module #2 - Troubleshooting Your Device

Objective: This session is designed to help empower our students for success with their devices, mainly to help them to solve their own technology problems with their ChromeOS device with these simple tips.

1c. use technology to seek feedback that informs and improves their practice and to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways.

1d. understand the fundamental concepts of technology operations, demonstrate the ability to choose, use and troubleshoot current technologies and are able to transfer their knowledge to explore emerging technologies.

 

Module #3 - PowerSchool (Under Construction)

 

Objective: The purpose of this session is to help students succeed by developing an understanding of the tools to use to track our progress. This module will introduce you to PowerSchool.

ISTE/MITECS: 

6a. Choose the appropriate platforms and tools for meeting the desired objectives of their creation or communication.

6b. Create original works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new creations.

 

Module #4 - Google Classroom

Objective: The purpose of this session is to help students succeed by developing an understanding of the tools to use to track our progress. This module will introduce you to PowerSchool.

6b. Create original works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new creations.

 

Module #5 - Clever

Objective: This session is designed to help empower our students to access the materials necessary for their classroom and success. This module is to introduce our students to Clever, a single-sign on tool that allows all students access to their essential content.

Module #6 - Quality Resources & Research Tips (Under Construction)

 

Objective: The purpose of this session is designed to help students understand more about finding quality resources and double-checking information prior to using it in our work.

ISTE/MITECS: 

3a. Plan and employ effective research strategies to locate information and other resources for their intellectual or creative pursuits.

3b. Evaluate the accuracy, perspective, credibility and relevance of information, media, data or other resources.

3c. curate information from digital resources using a variety of tools and methods to create collections of artifacts that demonstrate meaningful connections or conclusions.

3d. build knowledge by actively exploring real-world issues and problems, developing ideas and theories and pursuing answers and solutions.
