Grades 6, 7, & 8

Camp Chromebook for grades 6, 7, and 8 is an engaging, summer camp-themed video training series designed to equip middle school students with essential digital skills. The program covers a wide range of topics, including Expectations and Troubleshooting, ensuring students understand the guidelines for using their Chromebooks effectively and can independently resolve common technical issues. With a touch of humor, the series makes learning fun while introducing students to key educational platforms like Clever, PowerSchool, and Google Classroom, helping them navigate these systems with confidence.

In addition to these platforms, Camp Chromebook dives into Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, and Google Drive, teaching students how to utilize these tools for their school projects. The series also highlights time-saving shortcuts and the importance of bookmarks to streamline their digital experience. The goal of these videos is to equip the students with the necessary skills to be successful throughout the school year and beyond.

Module #1 - Introduction to Chromebooks and Expectations

Objective: This session is all about what a Chromebook is and how it works. This session will also cover what the expectations are for using the device in the classroom.

Module #2 - Troubleshooting Your Device

Objective: This session is designed to help empower our students for success with their devices, mainly to help them to solve their own technology problems with their ChromeOS device with these simple tips.

Objective: The purpose of this session is to help students succeed by developing an understanding of the tools to use to track our progress. This module will introduce you to PowerSchool.

Module #4 - Google Classroom

Objective: The purpose of this session is to help students succeed by developing an understanding of the tools to use to track our progress. This module will introduce you to PowerSchool.

Objective: This session is designed to help empower our students to access the materials necessary for their classroom and success. This module is to introduce our students to Clever, a single-sign on tool that allows all students access to their essential content.
